Filet with Crispy Potato Sauce Recipe (serves 4) – My Home

Necessary materials

  • 500 g fresh baby potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 400 g fillet, sliced
  • 150 g beef sausage
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 400 grams of chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of peppers
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • a pinch of sugar

For service:

  • rocket
  • Extra lemon slices


  1. Boil the potatoes in a saucepan of water for 10 minutes until tender, then drain and roughly mash with a fork. Place in a casserole dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Switch on the grill setting of the oven. Sprinkle some olive oil over the potatoes and broil them in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes until crisp and golden brown.
  2. In a pan with the remaining oil, sauté the fillet slices until brown. Remove the fillet slices from the pan and set aside. Add the sausages to the same pan and sauté over medium-high heat until some oil comes out, then add the onions and sauté for 5 minutes. Strain some oil and add tomatoes, chili flakes, half the lemon juice and sugar. When it starts to boil, cook for another 10 minutes.
  3. Put the fillet slices back into the pan. Add remaining lemon juice, check salt and pepper. Serve with potatoes, arugula and lemon wedges.
